Atlético de Madrid have renewed Emma Moreno’s contract until 30 June 2028 and reached an agreement with Eibar to extend her loan for another season.
The Madrid-born midfielder will therefore remain with the Basque club after completing her first full campaign in Liga F.
Emma made 29 appearances and played more than 1,500 minutes during the 2025/26 season. Her only league goal came against Atlético, the club she has represented since joining their academy in 2015.
The new contract secures her future with Atlético until 2028, while the extended loan will allow her to continue playing regularly in the top flight.
Another season of regular Liga F football
Emma made her senior Atlético debut during the 2024/25 season.
She featured against Rangers in the qualifying phase of the Women’s Champions League before making her Liga F debut against Deportivo. In the summer of 2025, she joined Eibar on loan in search of regular top-flight football.
The midfielder became a regular member of Iñaki Goikoetxea’s side. Her versatility allowed her to operate in several wide and attacking positions, a quality she has also demonstrated with Spain’s youth teams.
Eibar highlighted that versatility when announcing that she would remain with the club for another season.
Back-to-back European titles with Spain
The renewal comes after Emma won her second successive Women’s Under-19 European title this summer.
The 19-year-old was part of the Spain team that retained the trophy and was selected in the team of the tournament, according to Eibar’s announcement confirming her return.
Emma also won the Women’s Under-17 European Championship and was a runner-up at the Under-17 World Cup in 2024.
The new contract ties her to Atlético until 2028. Emma will first spend another season at Eibar, looking to build on the more than 1,500 minutes she accumulated during her initial loan spell.
