2. What data we process

We process only the data necessary to offer you the website services in a secure, respectful, and transparent way:

  • Newsletter Subscription: If you voluntarily choose to subscribe to our weekly newsletter from any of the subscription forms on the site, we will store your email address and your name to send the newsletters.
  • Ethical Web Analytics (Umami): We measure visits and interaction on the website in an anonymous and aggregated way, without cookies and without tracking you across other websites. The service is provided by Umami Software, Inc. as our data processor, and is served from our own domain. In order to count each visit only once and to know your approximate country, your IP address and browser type are transmitted to it: both are used to generate an ephemeral session identifier. Neither the IP address nor that identifier is retained in a way that would allow you to be recognised later. The data from this measurement is stored in the service's European region.
  • Site search: We record the terms typed into the website's search box, without linking them to any individual, in order to detect missing information and improve the results.
  • Technical Logs: The data inherent to technical hosting (IP address, browser type, and access time) captured by our server for maintenance and security purposes against cyberattacks.

3. Third-Party Content (X/Twitter and YouTube)

To enrich our articles, we embed posts from the social network X (Twitter) and videos from YouTube:

  • X (Twitter): These elements are blocked by default and their scripts do not load until you explicitly accept our cookies policy through the banner. Upon acceptance, X.com may process technical data such as your IP address and place cookies belonging to its platform.
  • YouTube: We feature embedded videos that may collect technical playback data and store cookies in your browser in accordance with Google's privacy policy. We use the privacy-enhanced version (youtube-nocookie.com) whenever possible to minimize this tracking.

4. Weekly Newsletter

The FemGol weekly newsletter is active. We collect your email address voluntarily based on your explicit consent, with the sole purpose of sending you articles and news about women's football each week.

5. Legal Basis

Legitimate interest in ensuring the security and correct functioning of the website (technical logs) and your explicit consent (newsletter subscription and cookie acceptance for third-party content).

6. Data Hosting and Storage

The website is hosted on our own server contracted with Arsys Internet, S.L.U., with its data centre in Spain. The weekly newsletter data is stored in an SQLite database on that same server, within the European Union and with no international transfer of personal data. Backup copies likewise reside on our own systems within the European Union. Newsletter emails are sent by Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH), an EU company, acting as data processor.

7. Data Retention

The email addresses for the newsletter are kept until you revoke your consent or unsubscribe. The server's technical logs (IP address, browser type and access time) are kept for 7 days and deleted automatically.

8. Your Rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure (right to be forgotten), objection, restriction of processing, and data portability by writing to . You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
