Mapi Vilas did not retire. She found another kind of football

The Galician forward scored 230 top-flight goals and seven in a single match for Spain, yet never played at a World Cup. She left Liga F in 2023 without announcing her retirement. At 38, she is still playing for PIO and working as a sporting director.
