London City sell out their full season-ticket allocation before Alexia and Mapi's league debuts

London City have not disclosed how many were made available, but describe demand as "unprecedented". They are still offering a new 12-game Season Ticket that excludes the opening fixture against Manchester United.

Alexia Putellas and Mapi León have yet to play a competitive match for London City Lionesses.

The club have already sold out their full season-ticket allocation.

London City announced on Wednesday that every ticket in the initial allocation had been purchased. The package guaranteed entry to every home league fixture during the 2026/27 season.

The club have not revealed how many full season tickets were released or sold, or what proportion of the stadium’s capacity they represent.

A second season ticket for 12 games

London City have now released a new 12-game Season Ticket.

It will begin with Brighton’s visit and include every subsequent home Women’s Super League fixture at the CopperJax Community Stadium. Prices start at £115 for adults and £50 for juniors.

The new season ticket does not include the opening fixture against Manchester United, which will take place on Friday 4 September at 19:00 local time.

Cup matches are also excluded. Season-ticket holders will receive priority access but must purchase those tickets separately.

The club say the new allocation is also limited.

A summer designed to increase interest

London City link the demand to their first season in the English top flight and the signings completed during the summer.

The team finished in mid-table in their debut Women’s Super League season. During the campaign, they set a club attendance record when 5,414 spectators watched their match against Arsenal in March.

They then transformed their squad.

Mary Earps arrived in June. Alexia Putellas signed on 8 July, followed by Mapi León five days later. Kadidiatou Diani, Rosa Kafaji and Daniela Arques subsequently joined, while Kosovare Asllani extended her contract.

When announcing Alexia’s arrival, the club said they expected her signing to increase attendance and fan engagement.

The sell-out provides an early indication of growth, although London City have not published figures showing how much their season-ticket base has increased. The club do not attribute the demand to one player alone, instead linking it to both their first top-flight campaign and their summer recruitment.

Atlético before Manchester United

Supporters will have their first opportunity to see the new arrivals at home before the league season begins.

London City will host Atlético Madrid on Sunday 23 August at 12:00 local time in their only ticketed home friendly of pre-season.

Twelve days later, they will return to the same stadium to face Manchester United in their opening Women’s Super League fixture.

Tickets for that match are being sold separately. Supporters purchasing the new 12-game Season Ticket will need an additional ticket if they want to attend the opener.

London City have therefore sold out their initial allocation before Alexia, Mapi, Diani and the rest of their summer signings have played a single competitive minute for the club.
