Eibar have now completed ten signings ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The latest addition is Marianna Seidl. The Colorado-born wing-back arrives from Brisbane Roar in the Australian A-League to provide energy and attacking depth on the left.
Her arrival illustrates the scale of Eibar’s rebuild.
The club have signed one goalkeeper, five defenders, two midfielders and two forwards. Every area of the squad has been strengthened during a transfer window that combines Liga F experience with players preparing for their first season in the top flight.
Anna Wellmann joined on loan from Bayern Munich to strengthen the goalkeeping department. Aitana Zumárraga, Nahia Azpiazu, Samara Ortiz, Estefanía Botero ‘Simona’ and now Seidl have been added to the defence. Noe Fernández and Nerea Sánchez reinforce midfield, while Ángeles del Álamo and Thirsa de Meester provide further options in attack.
Several of the new arrivals already have experience in Spanish football.
Ángeles del Álamo has made more than 100 appearances in the top flight. Samara Ortiz has played more than 5,000 minutes in Liga F after four seasons with Dépor Abanca. Simona won promotion with Espanyol before making her top-flight debut, while Aitana Zumárraga played 25 matches for Alhama last season.
Eibar have also devoted a significant part of their recruitment to players with room to develop.
Belgium Under-23 international Thirsa de Meester arrives from KRC Genk and will begin her first spell outside Belgium. Nahia Azpiazu and Noe Fernández will make the step up from Primera Federación. Chile international Nerea Sánchez has already made her Liga F debut with Madrid CFF. Seidl will play in Spain for the first time after her spell in Australia.
The length of the contracts shows that the rebuild is not limited to this season. De Meester, Azpiazu, Fernández and Sánchez have signed deals running until 2028. Zumárraga, Ortiz and Simona are under contract until 2027, while Wellmann has joined on loan from Bayern.
Seidl’s arrival takes Eibar’s tally of new signings to ten and confirms the scale of a rebuild that has reached every area of the squad.
