Barcelona have signed Josephine Lamp before the midfielder has played her first senior match.
The Danish footballer, born on 17 March 2010, joins Barcelona B from Nordsjælland. The Danish club have confirmed that the two sides reached a transfer agreement, although neither the fee nor the length of her contract has been disclosed.
At 16, Lamp was on the verge of making her first-team debut for Nordsjælland in the Danish top flight.
Her senior debut could now come in Spain.
Danish champion with the Under-19 team
Lamp joined Nordsjælland’s academy from Hellerup IK and was promoted to the Under-19 team while still only 15.
Last season, she was part of the side that won the Danish championship at that age level. Nordsjælland describe her as a midfielder with excellent vision and the technical ability to control the tempo of matches.
She signed her first professional contract with the club in July 2025. Just over a year later, Barcelona agreed a deal for her transfer.
The young midfielder has also made thirteen appearances for Denmark at youth level and established herself in the Under-17 national team during the past year.
Before joining Nordsjælland, Lamp played for Hellerup IK’s boys’ teams from Under-9 to Under-14 level and became captain.
“It is a dream I have had for many years”
Nordsjælland intended Lamp to complete her development and progress into their first team but agreed to negotiate her departure following Barcelona’s interest.
“It is a dream I have had for many years, and it will now come true sooner than I thought it would,” the midfielder said when her transfer was announced.
Lamp will begin her Barcelona career with the reserve team, who will compete in Primera Federación this season. There, she will continue a rise that had already taken her to the verge of Nordsjælland’s first team.
