Before she was a world champion, Naara Miranda already knew what it was to win a title.
Only she did it on roller skates.
The Cantabrian moved from dance to skating because she could not find a girls’ football team to train with. She went on to become a regional champion at under-10 level, although the ball remained her real obsession.
The chance came when she was eight. A phone call from Pedro Munitis opened the door to football and began a journey through Reocín Racing and Racing Féminas that would eventually take her to the Spain national set-up.
Now, at 21, she becomes the first signing made by Tenerife B for the 2026/27 season.
She does not arrive only with an unusual story.
She also arrives with 68 appearances and 4,749 minutes of Primera Federación football across the last three seasons.
Three years in Primera Federación
Miranda left Racing Féminas in 2023 to join Madrid CFF B.
In her first season in Madrid she played 25 league matches and racked up 2,006 minutes. The reserve side’s relegation did not take her out of the division: Atlético de Madrid B signed her in the summer of 2024.
With the rojiblancos she featured in 21 matches and totalled 1,480 minutes in her first campaign. Last season she again had a regular role, with 22 appearances and another 1,263 minutes.
Her time at Atlético also brought her closer to the first team.
Miranda went through the 2024 pre-season and started the European tie against Rangers in the Champions League qualifying round. The full-back played 83 minutes in the 3-0 win and completed her competitive debut for Atlético de Madrid a month after joining the club.
She did not debut alone that day. It was the third-place play-off of the qualifying round and the coach shared minutes among the reserve-team players: two others made their first appearances in the same match, Emma Moreno among them.
Miranda made hers count. She started and held the right-back slot for almost the entire game.
World champion at 17
Her first significant experience with Spain had come two years earlier.
Miranda was part of the Spain under-17 side that reached the final of the 2022 European Championship. She played four matches in a tournament that ended with Spain as runners-up after losing to Germany on penalties.
Months later she was named in the squad for the Under-17 World Cup in India.
Then a Racing Féminas player, she featured in the quarter-final against Japan and finished the tournament lifting the trophy. Spain beat Colombia 1-0 in the final and became the first nation to win two consecutive World Cups in the category.
Miranda was 17.
A position Tenerife B needed
Tenerife B will face their second season in Primera Federación after finishing fifth on their debut.
The full-back from Santander becomes the first arrival for the side coached by Adrián Albéniz. The club wanted to strengthen the right flank specifically, and they have found a footballer who already knows the division after three consecutive campaigns in it.
They are also signing a player who is still young but used to changing surroundings. She left Cantabria, passed through two Madrid reserve sides, competed at a World Cup and made her European bow with Atlético’s first team.
