Spain will begin their final preparations for the Under-20 World Cup with eleven players who were crowned European champions less than a month ago.
David Aznar has called up 26 footballers for a training camp running from 10 to 19 August. The squad will work first at Los Ángeles de San Rafael before moving on to the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.
This is not yet the final squad for the tournament, which will be played in Poland from 5 to 27 September.
Eleven European champions step up
Anna Álvarez, Laia López, Amaya García, Silvia Cristóbal, Julia Torres, Elene Gurtubay, Ainoa Gómez, Rosalía Domínguez, Irune Dorado, Celia Segura and Alba Cerrato were all part of the side that won the Under-19 European Championship on 10 July.
Irune scored the goal that settled the final against Germany. The eleven now join a group that also features players with Liga F experience such as Pau Comendador, Daniela Agote, Cristina Librán and Daniela Arques.
Aznar knows the youngest players particularly well. The head coach led Spain at the Under-19 European Championship before taking charge of the World Cup preparations once again.
Real Madrid and Barcelona account for twelve players
Real Madrid and Barcelona are the best-represented clubs, with six call-ups each. Between them they provide twelve of the 26 players.
Athletic, Atlético, Deportivo and Real Sociedad have two representatives each. Cristina Librán appears as a Juventus player after the end of her loan at Servette, while Daniela Arques will attend the camp as a London City Lionesses player.
The RFEF list Alba Cerrato as a free agent following her departure from Sevilla.

Spain open their World Cup campaign against Nigeria on 7 September. Three days later they face New Caledonia, and they close Group F against China on 13 September.
