Sanadri had never needed to leave the Basque Country.
She learned to play in San Sebastián, developed as a footballer in Vitoria and reached the top flight with Alavés before joining Athletic Club in Bilbao. At 26, football is taking her beyond that familiar territory for the first time.
Levante have signed Marta San Adrián Rocandio on a contract until 2028. She brings more than experience in Liga F. She also offers something particularly useful to a recently relegated team: she knows what it takes to win promotion.
She has done so three times with Deportivo Alavés. Now she will pursue a fourth in Valencia.
Sixteen goals to reach the top flight
Sanadri took her first steps at Amara Berri before joining Añorga’s academy. She progressed through the club’s youth teams and reserves before reaching the first team during the 2017/18 season.
One year later, she moved to Deportivo Alavés.
The forward made 22 appearances and scored ten goals during her first campaign in Vitoria. The team went up from Primera Nacional to the newly created Reto Iberdrola, which was then the second tier of Spanish women’s football.
Sanadri needed another two seasons to complete the next promotion.
After scoring four goals in 2019/20, she became the leading scorer in Reto Iberdrola’s North Group with 16 goals in 24 appearances. Alavés secured their first promotion to the top flight in 2021.
In her first season at that level, she scored three goals and provided two assists as Alavés stayed up. She added five goals and three assists the following campaign, although the team could not avoid relegation.
Sanadri left Vitoria in 2023 after five seasons, two promotions and 38 goals.
Athletic and two returns to Vitoria
Joining Athletic allowed her to remain in the top flight.
Sanadri made her debut as a starter against Granada in September 2023 and completed her first season with 22 appearances in all competitions and two goals. Her playing time decreased during the following campaign.
After nine league appearances without scoring, she returned to Alavés on loan in January 2025. The move restored her scoring touch: she scored six times in twelve Primera Federación appearances.
Alavés finished second with 56 points, level with Alhama. Their promotion bid then ended against Cacereño in the play-off semi-finals.
Sanadri returned to Athletic that summer and made five appearances before taking the same route again. In January 2026, she joined Alavés on loan for a second time.
She made seven appearances and scored once. Her role was smaller, but she was part of the team that secured automatic promotion with a 0-4 away victory over Europa with two matches remaining.
It was the third time she had won promotion with Alavés and the second to the top flight.
Sanadri made 36 appearances in all competitions for Athletic and scored twice. Across Alavés and Athletic, she has played 85 top-flight matches. Her record in the second tier is even more striking: 27 goals in 61 appearances.
A new route to Liga F
Levante are the first club of her career based outside the Basque Country.
Sanadri has signed until 2028 and is the eighth addition to the squad being built by Javier Aguado. She joins a project aiming to make relegation no more than a one-season absence from the top flight.
Her career has not been spent permanently in the highest division. Instead, she has repeatedly had to reach it, lose it and earn her way back.
Ten goals helped Alavés go up to Reto Iberdrola. Two years later, she finished as the division’s leading scorer as they reached the top flight. She then returned to Vitoria on loan twice before celebrating another promotion.
Now she swaps Vitoria for Valencia and starts again in the second tier.
Sanadri is leaving home for the first time. The path ahead, however, is one she already knows.
