The return of a legend and top-flight reinforcements
To face the promotion challenge without losing its identity, the sporting department has finalized a signing that transcends the purely sporting. Estefa Lima returns to Badajoz to lead the project. The experienced Extremaduran midfielder and forward returns home after six seasons away, bringing not only her undeniable technical quality and penalty box threat, but also the captaincy credentials she already wore in the national top division. Her presence on the pitch is the beacon around which the team’s play will revolve.
Alongside Estefa’s return, Sport Extremadura has entered the transfer market with the purpose of providing the squad with experience in higher categories. Arriving from Real Betis Féminas of Liga F are forward Natalia Montilla and 26-year-old defender María Gómez, two additions destined to increase hierarchy and competitive pace in both areas.
For the rearguard, the club has also reinforced with reliability.
