Costa Adeje Tenerife have announced the signing of Ari Mingueza, who becomes the club’s second addition for the 2026/27 season.

The Catalan midfielder arrives from Granada and will strengthen the midfield of the side managed by Yerai Martín. Her signing follows the arrival of Natalia Padilla, unveiled as the first reinforcement of the new Tenerife project.

Mingueza offers a different profile to that of the Spanish-Polish forward. Tenerife are now bringing in a player whose role is to provide composure on the ball, poise and tactical order in the centre of the pitch.

A midfielder shaped at Barcelona

Ariadna Mingueza García was born on 22 March 2003 in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. She came through the FC Barcelona academy, played for the reserve side and went on to make her debut with the first team.

Her time in Barcelona’s youth set-up shaped her into a midfielder capable of helping build play, reading the different situations of a match and offering options when bringing the ball out from the back.

She was also a Spain youth international and part of the generation that won both the 2022 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship and the Under-20 World Cup.

After leaving Barcelona, Mingueza continued to develop at Granada, where she established herself in midfield and gained experience in the top flight of Spanish football.

Balance for the new project

Costa Adeje Tenerife’s sporting director, Jordi Torres, highlighted the new signing’s reading of the game and her competitive maturity.

“Ari is a player who brings together many of the qualities we were looking for to strengthen our midfield. She stands out for her understanding of the game, her ability to give the team balance and her intelligence in reading different match situations.”

Torres also praised the experience the midfielder has gathered despite her youth, and saw her decision to join Tenerife as a sign of confidence in the project the club is building.

With her arrival, Costa Adeje Tenerife add order, composure and experience to their midfield. Mingueza becomes the second piece of a project that is beginning to take shape ahead of the new season.
